Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill, your destination for family adventure. For snow and winter enthusiasts, Tawatinaw Valley provides fun for everyone.
We are located just off Highway 2 only 1 hour north of Edmonton and 50 minutes north of St. Albert. We offer down hill skiing, snowboarding, tubing, skating, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
Cold Weather Policy
In the event of extreme weather conditions, Tawatinaw Valley may limit some facility operations. The decision to do so will be made on a daily basis according to the localized conditions at Tawatinaw Valley. The website and social media will be updated regarding operating status as available.
The Temperature Cutoff is “Feels Like -30°C” (including windchill) anytime throughout operating hours. Day passes, rentals, etc. cancelled due to cold weather closures will be rescheduled or refunded.
For Lesson Programs the Temperature Cutoff is “Feels Like -25°C” (including windchill), as many of our lessons are with young children. Lessons cancelled due to cold weather closures will be rescheduled.
