Come visit the Hill with the Big Heart!

Our beautiful ski hill spreads over 140 acres Our 24 downhill runs and tube park are serviced by 3 t-bars and a conveyor lift.  Enjoy over 15 km of scenic cross country ski trails, snowshoe trails and a skating area.

Tawatinaw Valley offers winter fun for everyone. Enjoy homestyle cooking in our Billy Goat Diner, down hill skiing, snowboarding, tubing, cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Rentals and lessons are also available.

When Are We Open?

DOWN HILL SKIING, SNOWBOARDING & TERRAIN PARK

Tawatinaw Valley offers runs to suit everyone’s abilities, from novice to advanced in both Alpine and Nordic.  140 acres and with a vertical height of 250 feet, the down hill ski area has a terrain park, beginner to black diamond runs, three t-bars, and a beginner area with a conveyor lift. 

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING & SNOWSHOE

Tawatinaw Valley offers a Nordic trail system with over 15 kilometers of cross-country ski trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing.  Our snowshoe trails wind for 1.7 km through the valley.

TUBING

Tubing is a great opportunity for the whole family to get out and and enjoy some outdoor fun. You'll love zooming down the hill in one of our fantastic tubes and our Red Carpet conveyor lift will get you back up to the top in no time!

LESSONS

Want to learn to ski or snowboard? We offer lessons for all ages and abilities.

We offer group lessons with CSIA and CASI certified instructors.

GREAT FOOD

Visit our beautiful chalet restaurant, The Billy Goat Diner  for a variety of in-house-made hot meal choices and snacks.  Enjoy watching the action from our licensed lounge area or on our hill-side deck.

Cold Weather Policy

In the event of extreme weather conditions, Tawatinaw Valley may limit some facility operations.  The decision to do so will be made on a daily basis according to the localized conditions at Tawatinaw Valley.  The website and social media will be updated regarding operating status as available. 

The Temperature Cutoff is “Feels Like -30°C” (including windchill) anytime throughout operating hours.  Day passes, rentals, etc. cancelled due to cold weather closures will be rescheduled or refunded. 

For Lesson Programs the Temperature Cutoff is “Feels Like -25°C” (including windchill), as many of our lessons are with young children.  Lessons cancelled due to cold weather closures will be rescheduled.
